Following several months of preparation during the past semester, InnoRate platform became available for the entrepreneurship world: SMEs, startups investors, innovation intermediaries, technology transfer offices and matchmaking firms had the opportunity to use for the first time the InnoRate platform. The first pilot round of InnoRate had begun!
The scope of this first pilot round was to test the platform, incorporate users’ feedback, address any potential faults and ultimately, make the platform better. And the mission was successful: approximately 200 users registered at the InnoRate platform.
Amongst these users, SMEs and startups had the opportunity to use prescreening and deep assessment services to get both a quick, fully automated assessment of their performance as well as personalized one-to-one feedback from experts in their domain. In parallel, these parties had the opportunity to join a series of diverse investment-readiness and matchmaking services featuring leading figures from the world of finance and entrepreneurship (e.g. EBN, EBAN, Berytech) as well as figures from start-up communities (e.g. startup Valencia). Due to the pandemic, the series of these workshops was online and is currently available on our website.
During this round, our team had as a top priority providing a seamless user-experience, through tutorials, ad-hoc personalized support and a series of introductory webinars. To the same end, our team had in place a feedback survey, and held a virtual workshop with members of the Advisory Board, in order to refine and prepare the platform for the second round of testing.
What will the next period bring?
Currently, we have incorporated the feedback that we have received into the platform and we have launched the second pilot round. This is broader in scope, with our team inviting companies from diverse domains and with different technology-readiness-level (TRL) as well as investors to join the platform and exploit its capabilities.
