Time flies, one project year has almost passed and it was soon time for our 3rd project meeting. On the 2-3 December 2019 the InnoRate consortium gathered in Paris, at the Centre d’Affaires Espace Hamelin. A special thanks to our partner Jolt Capital for hosting us!
The two-days meeting was dedicated to the progress and results achieved over the second project semester. Our focus has mainly been placed on the development of the InnoRate Technology Rating System, the core of our project. Over the last months, we have been working on the actual rating methodology and platform structure. Our consortium has closely collaborated to first define the indicators that will constitute the InnoRate rating methodology, identifying and shortlisting the most useful and informative ones with the help of our AB members. After, identifying the relevant indicators, the rating methodology has been designed and targeted user journey maps have been elaborated to best address our four use cases: innovative SMEs, private investors, TTOs and innovation intermediaries.
In the meantime, we have been working on the architecture of the platform and data integration. The platform will also be customised according to the needs of the specific users. Each user will visualise a personalised dashboard featuring the services targeted to their category.
In parallel to these activities, we have started since the very first stages of our project to formulate our business models, to make sure that the InnoRate platform will be correctly positioned to target needs and produce value in a sustainable manner. These models will also be tested and improved throughout the project with the support of our stakeholders.
The meeting was the occasion to discuss in person the latest advancements before finalising the first version of our platform that is due in the first months of 2020. Once the platform is ready, we will test the developed system together with our experts. Two rounds of pilots targeted to the selected sectors will be run and will allow us to fine-tune the platform based on the collected feedback. For this reason, important decisions were taken regarding the timing of the next activities and the definition of a pool of experts that will test and validate our work.
What’s more? Soon our official promotional video will be ready and available on our website and social media channels!
We had two days of intense discussions but we also had our fun moments enjoying the good French cuisine. We are very happy with the work done so far and we are looking forward to the forthcoming project months. Keep following us because things will get more and more exciting!
