On February 13, the Botanic Garden of Padua held an opportunity to talk about enhancing intellectual property to turn ideas into business opportunities.
The “Intellectual property: from patent to business and BioInItaly opportunities” event, which was organized by the Unismart Padova Enterprise, was focused on the theme of Innovation in the university context and hosted innovative Start-ups, experts from the scientific community, professors, researchers and students.The event opened with an introductory speech by Mr. Stefano Carosio. During his speech, Mr. Carosio presented the InnoRate project, its purpose and its main goals among the participated companies, the bank members, investors and other interesting stakeholders.
The diverse mix of participants discussed about technology transfer from University of Padua to firms, the steps that are necessary in order to organise Intellectual Property during research stages, as well as how to make it interesting from an industrial point of view. Among others, the Start-ups that participated in the event, showed their researches and made suggestions to stimulate professors in finding new finance opportunities.
