New year – New synergies: Early in 2021, as part of our commitment to expand our network of parties working at the intersection of entrepreneurship and finance, we are happy to announce that we have made synergies with four exciting projects.
Which are these projects and what they are about?
- European Data Incubator
European Data Incubator (EDI) is an exciting incubation programme for Big Data startups and SMEs in Europe co-financed by the Horizon 2020 project. The incubation programme help Big Data startups scale up through an array of services including mentoring, workshops and datathons in new markets, opportunities to access up to €100 000 equity-free funding, free cloud for scalable data processing and others.

- Reach Incubator
REACH, is an Innovation Action project funded by the European Commission launched in September 2020. REACH is a second-generation Big Data incubator, building on the successful efforts of EDI – European Data Incubator to accelerate data-driven innovation in Europe, towards the vision of the Common European Data Space and developing the European Data Market.
Over its lifetime, REACH will support +100 business ideas from SMEs and select among them 30 solid business cases through a total of three open calls in the coming three years, distributing a total amount of €3.5M

- DMS Accelerator
DMS Accelerator, an Horizon 2020 project, aims at overcoming the barriers of data-centrics SMEs and start-ups in Europe in data skills, entrepreneurial opportunities, legal issues and standardisation. DMS Accelerator programme is 60% online, which means that startups can receive training and mentoring without having to move to another city or country.

- X-Europe
In the months ahead of us, X-Europe, an Horizon 2020 programme, will support startups in AI & ML, Smart Cities & Sustainability, SpaceTech and FinTech. In each of these areas, an open call for cohorts will be made. Calls to apply to be part of a cohort will be released to startups in each relevant deeptech domain. The 25 most competitive startup applicants in each cohort will be given free support from all the X-Europe partners and Startup Europe.

EBDVF is an annual forum bringing together professionals from the public sector, innovative companies, leading research bodies and exciting startups. The event is becoming a must-go-to networking and learning opportunity, averaging more than 600 participants and especially industry professionals, business developers, researchers, and policy, makers coming from over 40 countries. The event is promoted by the Big Data Value eCosystem Project, provideing coordination and support for the current and future H2020 projects within the Big Data Value Public-Private Partnership.
