The InnoRate project is keeping up the good work!
Several milestones have been achieved since the launch of the project last January. Among others, the InnoRate Advisory Board was successfully established. 27 leading experts from the business/investors’ community, academia, national public authorities, will support the project leveraging their experience and expertise and providing direct insights into the interests and views of the stakeholders’ community.
What’s more? After six months of intense collaboration, an analysis of the major technology assessments and the existing datasets has been completed, offering a clear overview of the different methodologies, tools and services used for assessing and rating technologies of innovative SMEs. In addition, an inventory of available data sources and visualisation techniques has been created in order to facilitate the development of InnoRate’s ICT-enabled tools and services.
Moreover, to elicit the stakeholders’ needs, a dedicated survey was run. The results of the survey, together with observations from several interviews carried out with investors, innovative SMEs and intermediaries, contributed to the definition of the users’ preferences. The development of such profiles will enable us to design and apply approaches and services that will be better customised on the needs of future users.
In parallel, a Co-creation workshop was organised in order to engage key project stakeholders and co-define with them the pilot use cases, methodology and the technical aspects that will underpin the creation of the InnoRate Platform. This information will help us to extract meaningful insights in order to better assess and perform our services.
What is next? In the following months, the gathered information will be leveraged to develop the InnoRate Platform. In particular, the actions that are expected to cover the next six months include the overall system design and the integration of the assessment methodology, indicators and data requirements, as well as platform services. At the same time, InnoRate will select the use cases and the sectors of focus in order to initiate its stakeholders’ engagement process with a view to set up several pilot cases for testing its services in real-life context. In doing so, a series of matchmaking activities and events will take place.
